The installation of FM transmitters at Susamoya in Mtoko has brought smiles to radio listeners in the northern parts of Mashonaland East who now have access to all the country’s six radio stations.

The transmitters which were switched on recently have brought smiles to many villagers in this part of the country which had difficulties having good radio reception since independence.

Apart from the entertainment aspect, the radio is also playing an educative role as some villagers are following weight lifting sessions at their respective homesteads.

The new transmitters have doubled the coverage area with areas like Mtoko, UMP, Mudzi, Mrewa and nearby Nyanga in Manicaland now receiving clear radio signals in all the six radio stations in the country.
