A family fun day is always the ideal way of bringing families together for an enjoyable outing where there is something for everyone.

This aptly defined the First Lady, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa’s family fun day held at Manyoni in Gokwe.

Whoever said modeling is for the young and slender only needed to be at Manyoni to be convinced that all one needs is being able to make your own cat walk confidently.

Equally captivating was the sight of elderly women participating in a tug of war game where the determination and strength of the women gave an indication of their everyday life.

Eating is a must for every being to ensure survival but when it comes to a eating competitions, others proved they are endowed with huge appetites and can chew faster than most of us.

It was the same for those in the habit of drinking where capabilities were shown that they certainly vary.

Amai Mnangagwa participated in the clay pot balancing competition, racing against women who have defined this as an everyday activity when they go to fetch water.

She also partook to the egg race, much to the delight of the audience.

Zimbabwe’s indigenous game of nhodo was also exhibited and showed off those with mastery in it.

The competitions also showcased the Zimbabwean culture through traditional dance competitions where judges had a torrid time in deciding which group had outdone the others.
