The folk fore programme that the First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa has taken across the country’s provinces has proved to be an important tool of imparting moral values to the young generation.

This week, Amai Mnangagwa was in Masvingo Province where she interacted with children.

The rich Karanga language spiced up the narration of folk tales by children in Masvingo Province.

The programme is well packaged and accommodates all children including those with disabilities.

The First Lady visited the cultural centre where children exhibited knowledge on cultural utensils used in a model rural kitchen.

Amai Mnangagwa said apart from promoting creativity, folk tales instill discipline and cultural values.

She also donated food stuffs and blankets to children’s homes in the province.

Her organisation, the Angel of Hope Foundation launched a goat rearing project for disadvantaged children.

The First Lady donated 1 000 goats to be distributed to seven districts in the province to kick start the project.
