The First Family has donated a consignment of Christmas goodies to the Dora community in Mutare North constituency as part of honouring the promise made by the First Lady, Amai Grace Mugabe, two weeks ago.
The consignment was handed over to Chief Zimunya by the Governor and Resident Minister for Manicaland Province, Cde Chris Mushowe, on behalf of the First Family at a ceremony held at Dora Clinic.
In his address at the function, Cde Mushowe implored traditional leaders to distribute the groceries equitably to the whole community.Â
Speaking on behalf of the Dora community, Chief Zimunya expressed his gratitude for receiving the gifts and assured the First Family that the Dora people will continue to render their full support to the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe and Zanu-PF.
Chief Zimunya said this year’s Christmas will be different, as every household will receive presents.
The goodies include cooking oil, salt, meali-meal, biscuits, blankets, and soap among other things.
