The Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) has challenged its female members to undertake military courses and further their education for gender equality to be achieved in the defence forces.

Officiating at the combined graduation parade held at the School of Military Police this week, the Commander 1 Infantry Brigade Brigadier General Augustine Chipwere said it’s high time gender equality prevails in the army ranks.

Brigadier General Chipwere commended seven female solders amongst the 104 graduands and further challenged other women in the defence forces to undertake further studies and training.

He went on to call for integrity and discipline from serving army members as the organisation is known for professionalism.

The graduands completed five courses which include personnel supervision, traffic course, martial arts course and regimental police course.
