Log leaders FC Platinum are hoping the jittery form that has characterised their post break matches will not haunt them when they face a relegation threatened Nichrut at Ascot on Saturday.
FC Platinum always struggle in matches after breaks.
Coach Norman Mapeza is praying the two week break will not disturb the rhythm and form of his team when they face Nichrut who are still involved in a relegation matrix.
“We have not been doing well especially after these breaks. If you look at the Dynamos match we struggled though we grinded the result,” he said.
Mapeza said the five upcoming games will be crucial in their quest to retain the league.
“At this moment in time points are crucial no matter how we grind them,” he added.
In the reverse fixture, Pure Platinum Play snatched the three set of points through a well executed Winston Mhango spot kick.
FC Platinum has a new culture of not losing to relegation bound teams and Mapeza said that has been the message in their dressing room.
