The platinum miners are yet to taste defeat since the premiership started this season.

The clash at Mandava Stadium between Yadah FC and FC Platinum could certainly pass off as a value for money encounter.

The platinum miners struck twice in the 7th and 39th minute to record an emphatic two nil win over struggling Yadah.

The two goals which came courtesy of strikers Agrippa Murimba and Gerald ‘Cheeseboy’ Takwara,  condemned Yadah FC to its fourth consecutive loss since the 30th of last month when they lost to Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium.

FC Platinum coach, Norman Mapeza still reeling from jetlag after travelling to his former Turkish club Galatasaray expressed satisfaction at being rewarded for his side’s hard work and his opponent’s missed chances.

Yadah FC assistant coach, Thomas Ruzive admitted his team had no-one else but themselves to blame for blowing away multiple scoring opportunities.

The clash between FC Platinum and Yadah FC was also the first match played at Mandava Stadium this season after the ZIFA grounds committee gave the green light for matches to resume at the renovated venue.

Meanwhile, in other matches played on Saturday (today), Bulawayo City edged Tsholotsho 2-1 while Highlanders beat Bantu Rovers 2-1 and Chapungu dismissed struggling Harare City 1-nil at Ascot Stadium in Gweru.
