Zvishavane based FC Platinum is racing to submit its CAF final squad list as the January 15 deadline looms.

Two issues remain outstanding at the moment at FC Platinum.

The first is the submission of a full squad list which should be handed over to CAF by the 15th of January.

There is also the issue of the completion of Mandava stadium renovations as the venue will play host to the second leg encounter of the CAF Champions League.

“So far so good,” says club spokesperson Chido Chizondo.

Chizondo says players such as Albert Eyonde from Cameroon, Shadrack Mayembe from Zambia, Never Tigere from ZPC Kariba and Rahman Kutsanzira from Highlanders are some of the acquisitions expected to bolster the 26-man squad.

Also on the club’s wish list are two local players the club is still mum to reveal.

Ongoing renovations at Mandava stadium are also in time for completion, say the platinum miners.

FC Platinum will take on Desportivo de Agosto of Angola on the 9th of February with the return leg slated in 2 weeks time at Mandava.

FC Platinum says it is convinced that all the homework has been done and by the time these matches are played everything will have fallen into place.
