tobacco-floors.jpgThe Tobacco Association of Zimbabwe has lamented what they are calling poor service at the Tobacco Sales Floors citing the auctioneer’s monopolistic hold as the reason.

On the backdrop of poor service delivery that has seen farmers spending up to a week at the Tobacco Sales Floor.

The Tobacco Association of Zimbabwe Secretary General, Mr. Stan Kasukuwere bemoaned the presence of only one auctioneer at the moment saying it is compromising service delivery as farmers have no option except to put up with the inefficiency at the floors.

Farmers at the auction floors claim that service has gone from bad to worse when comparing with last season. Some claim that they have lost their tobacco adding that the system at the TSF has been far from being helpful in assisting them.

With no certainty as to when the Boka Tobacco Auction floors will open to ease the farmers’ woes, the chaos continues on the floors.
