In an exclusive interview with ZBC News, German Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Albrecht Conze, said the landmark launching of the Reinhard Fabisch Football School of Excellence is a fulfillment of a legacy that Fabisch requested in his last moments.

Ambassador Conze revealed that Fabisch told him that he had his happiest moments in Zimbabwe.

One of the most cherished football coaches, Fabisch is well remembered for the then heroic Dream Team that conquered African giants such as Cameroon and Egypt in the 1990s.

The ambassador noted that his country’s football association is keenly looking forward to the take-off of the School of Excellence before it jumps in with help.

The Reinhard Fabisch Football School of Excellence, to be fundraised with a dinner on Saturday night, will open its door for a first intake in 2012 seeking to cater for the under 12 to 16 boys age group from disadvantaged circles.
