Former Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Mavhura and the national broadcaster’s former Director Human Resources, and Administration, Benania Shumba will spend another night behind the bars after their bail ruling was postponed to this Tuesday.

Mavhura, who is jointly charged for fraud with Shumba, appeared before Magistrate Vongai Muchuchuti this Monday applying for bail.

The duo was remanded in custody pending their bail application ruling this Tuesday.

Variously, former Principal Director of State Residences in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Douglas Tapfuma’s bid for freedom has hit a brick wall for the fourth time after the Harare Magistrate Court dismissed his bail application.

Tapfuma who is facing three counts of Criminal Abuse of Office for alleged importation of several vehicles, was arrested in July as part of the ongoing anti-corruption blitz by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission-ZACC.
