Epworth residents say there is need for more initiatives to promote local talent in the area.

The Epworth residents who were treated to a talent show in belated Africa Day commemorations by the Zanu PF legislator for the area, Cde Zalera Makari said the gesture has helped show that there is abundance of talent within the community.

The residents said bringing the Africa Day commemorations to the community is also key in ensuring that youths are aware of the importance of the milestone.

Cde Makari said she intends to create avenues for the empowerment of people in her constituency, highlighting that she has facilitated for some musicians to be able to record their works.

Musicians, Freddy Mwanjalima popularly known as Kapfupi and Tocky Vibes born Obey Makamure hail from Epworth.
