Epworth residents have welcomed the formalisation of their settlement a move which was initiated by the Epworth local board together with the constituency’s Zanu PF leadership.
The settlement which was not properly developed is now being formally urbanised with residents now entitled to title deeds.
The newly pegged stands are 200m2.
Epworth constituency legislator, Cde Zalerah Makari said the formalisation of Epworth is an ongoing process and so far they have allocated 5 000 stands and are in the process of regularising the road system in the area.
Epworth ward 7 councillor, Vengesai Muchoni said that they have embarked on a community development programme ensuring proper construction of roads and supplying water to the people.
The ward 7 residents appreciated the developments and expressed gratitude to their legislator for spearheading the urbanisation programme.
Meanwhile, some Epworth residents who received their title deeds have started building state of the art houses.
