Dynamos Football Club sponsor, NetOne has clarified the payment status on the impasse with Cameroonian striker Joel Christian Epoupa Ntouba putting closure to a dispute that had seen the player not featuring in any of the Glamour Boys’ matches so far.
The absence of the star striker in the fold of the former champions has been deeply felt given the string of poor showing by the Glamour Boys since the start of the 2018 football season.
The major stand-off cited for the no show of the striker being non-payment of signing on fees as well as other bonuses which the player claimed he was owed by the club which accrued to at $16 000.
The impasse had escalated to a level which was now threatening the brand of the sponsor NetOne.
This culminated to a meeting called on Friday between the sponsor, the club representatives, Epoupa and his manager Gilbert Sengwe, where the outstanding issues were ironed out.
Dynamos president Kenni Mubaiwa said this clarification puts closure to one of the contentious issues which has seen the Cameroonian not featuring for the club since the March 17.
The Glamour Boys said Epoupa remains an employee of the club who still is expected to fulfill his contractual obligations to play for the team, giving a silver lining indication that the player may soon be donning the blue and white outfit following the resolution sealed and clarified by the club’s sponsors.
