The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League’s (PSL) leading striker, Joel Christian Epoupa Ntouba, is eligible to play the remaining 36 minutes of Dynamos’ match against Chapungu that was abandoned after 56 minutes in June when goal posts collapsed at Ascot Stadium.
Ntouba who missed his club’s 1-nil defeat to rivals Caps United in the reverse fixture of the Harare derby at Rufaro stadium on Sunday was serving a suspension for a straight red card that he picked last weekend for head butting Highlanders’ defender Peter Muduhwa in a high tempo match which ended 1-all at the same venue.
Dembare decided to ignore the decision by Zifa president Phillip Chiyangwa to rescind epoupa’s red card.
The PSL communications officer Kudzai Bare said Ntouba is eligible to play against Chapungu, indicating that he will serve his suspension in their next match against Shabanie Mine.
Bare added that in case a player has transferred during the window period he will nolonger be eligible to play for either of the two sides and the team(s) will have to replace that player with the one on the 18 man squad on that very day in question.
Meanwhile, defending champions Caps United will be in action against Hwange at the Colliery Stadium on Thursday in another rearranged fixture.
