Air force personnel have been called upon to enhance themselves professionally as well as academically to improve their efficiency in undertaking their constitutional role.

This came out at a project management seminar held at Manyame Airbase in Harare today.

“The Air Force of Zimbabwe’s constitutional role of defending the air space and the country’s territorial integrity requires officers who are well equipped with decision making, co-ordination, planning and organising skills of various projects. It is in light of this that skills enhancement in project management becomes critical to the air force personnel,” said Air Vice Marshal Jacob Nzvede, who is Air Force of Zimbabwe Chief of Staff – Supporting Services.

The Air Force of Zimbabwe project management seminar is a two-day programme which is expected to equip the airmen and women with an appreciation for project management which will help in running the Air Force Commander Charity Fund which helps the underprivileged members of the community.
