MDC Alliance National Assembly candidate for Bulawayo South constituency Engineer Francis Mangwendeza says his formation is ready to bring about transformation in the City of Kings.
Engineer Mangwendeza held two rallies in Bulawayo South constituency today first at BG Hall in Southworld and later at Tshabalala Hall.
Speaking on the sidelines of the rallies, Engineer Mangwendeza said his political outfit has a master plan to re-industrialise the City of Kings.
“We are saying Bulawayo is strategically positioned to rise as a beef market. What is needed is the resuscitation of the Cold Storage Company for starters. The resources are there and what we need in a proper policy guideline that will see all these industries working and in so doing we end the problem of unemployment in the city,” he said.
In one of his address, Engineer Mangwendeza subtly conceded to the headache that has been caused by the MDC divisions which saw the MDC-T Khupe led faction also fielding a candidate in the same constituency.
“We have another MDC which has also fielded a candidate in this election. What I am urging you is to look closely and identify the face of Mr Nelson Chamisa on the palm as the other MDC-T has a child. Please check on these differences,” said Engineer Mangwendeza.
16 candidates are battling it out in Bulawayo South constituency with the MDC Alliance having fielded two candidates for the same position in the area.
