The Iranian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Mohamed Pournajaf, says the ongoing solar project being implemented in the country by his government will alleviate current electricity challenges in the country.
Ambassador Pournajaf says the Zimbabwean government must make full use of solar energy, which is a God-given and sanction free resource, adding that if the project is fully embraced, power problems in the country can become a thing of the past.
“We are happy that there has been a first invention of its kind with the multi – curing barn, solar energy is free and the western countries cannot induce any sanctions on the sun,†he said.
The solar energy project is expected to complement the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA)’s efforts in supplying electricity to consumers.
Iranians have made great strides in technological advancements and have expressed their willingness to share their expertise with the rest of the world.
