Members of the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) have been challenged to take advantage of government programmes that seek to improve their social economic status.
The call was made at a farewell party for Assistant Commissioner John Musinachirevo who has been in the service for over 40 years.
Assistant Commissioner Musinachirevo was commanding Mashonaland Central Province and a number projects have been attained under his tenure.
ZPCS Deputy Commissioner General – Administration, Dr Alfred Dube said his organisation offers a number of initiatives that seek to capacitive officers in all economic spheres, hence the need to members to take advantage of such projects.
ZPCS has been commended for playing a key role in ensuring inmates are reformed to meet societal expectations.
Assistant Commissioner Musinachirevo began his service in 1976 and went to Chikurubi Training School.
