The electronic media soccer team continued with its dominance over their print counterparts after cruising to a 6-nil victory in a game at Takashinga Sports club on Sunday afternoon.

Team captain, Francis Nyamutsamba opened the flood gates as early as the 5th minute after his 20 yard effort proved too powerful for a hapless Roy Matiki in goals for the print.

The goal harvest saw veteran striker, Banny Mupariwa and midfield maestro, Spencer Banda chipping in with important goals in a one-sided affair.

The electronic media coach, Ian Zvoma was satisfied with his team’s performance.

“I am delighted by how my players accounted for themselves, but had we been more clinical in front of goal, I am sure we would have won by a wider margin. I am sure if we do not relax in the return leg we should be able to finish off the job” Zvoma said.

Print media senior player, Goodwill Zunidza however refused to throw in the towel as he vowed to compete till the very end.

“I am obviously disappointed with the defeat but I am sure we will be able to conjure up a surprise in the second encounter, you never know with Football because anything can happen” said Zunidza.

The electronic media now carrying a healthy 6 goal cushion going into the return leg.
