Graduands at the Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) are pinning their hopes on the new government for the creation of employment for the prosperity of the country.
Eighty students graduated with various degrees at ZEGU amid high expectations that the new government will come up with policies that will open up the economy.
Those who spoke to ZBC News said creation of employment must be prioritised by the new government.
Addressing graduands and other stakeholders at the graduation ceremony, ZEGU Vice Chancellor Professor Sunungurai Mutanga said there has been tremendous growth in terms of students’ enrolment, urging graduands to keep working hard for the development of the country.
This is the second graduation ceremony for the tertiary institution, reflecting 181 percent increase in the number of students.
Forty-five males and 35 females graduated with degrees in arts, commerce and education.
