The Egyptian government has extended a re-engagement hand to the rest of Africa, emphasising that the 2011 and 2013 revolutions left a realisation the North African country cannot go it alone it’s its rebuilding era.
The message came out during the official opening of the Future of Media in Africa Workshop being hosted by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development in Cairo on Monday.
Delegates from over 45 African countries are attending the training workshop which will see them engage on several tours of key government and private sectors to get an appreciation of efforts being made by the Egyptian government towards economic revival.
Part of the visits will include meeting the Egyptian business people, the parliament, the Egyptian Administrative Control Authority, religious centres and the media production city.
The Egyptian government said it is leveraging the workshop with media personalities from the 45 African states to send out the true story of Egypt.
It is also using the platform as a means to engage in various partnerships with the African states in areas of energy, agriculture, ICTs, health and technology.
