The First Lady, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa today took time to interact with women undergoing cervical cancer screening on the sidelines of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC) conference at Mbungo in Masvingo.

Amai Mnangagwa emphasised the importance of women to constantly get screened, and highlighting that early detection allows those diagnosed to undergo chemotherapy when the cancer is still at its early stages.

She also took the opportunity to talk to the women about developmental issues and the recent cholera outbreak experienced in the country.

“You should practice good hygiene. Remember healthy citizens are critical for the development of the nation,” she said.

Women from the ZCC were also urged to apply for loans from the Zimbabwe Women’s Microfinance Bank.
