dembare lose.jpgZimbabwean champions Dynamos who face Liga Muculumana in the CAF Champions League this weekend say they will not underrate their opponents despite history showing that the Glamour Boys have a good record against Mozambican sides in continental competitions.

Club coach, Callisto Pasuwa, said the Netone Charity Shield match against Motor Action exposed some defensive frailities which need to be corrected before Sunday’s continental clash against the Mozambicans.

“We noticed some defensive frailties against the Mighty Bulls and are working flat out to correct them. Our players’ movement off the ball is also something we’re working on correcting as we prepare to meet the Mozambicans,” Pasuwa acknowledged.

Liga Muculumana beat Mafunzo of Zanzibar 2-0 away from home and 3-0 in the return leg to seal a comprehensive 5-0 aggregate win in their preliminary round tie to set up a first round showdown with Dynamos.

The Glamour Boys are however are a force to reckon with on account of their impressive showing whenever they take to the continental terrain.

In 1998 Dynamos famously knocked out Mozambican side Ferroviario De Maputo by rising up from a 1-1 home draw to win 1-0 in Maputo.

The 1998 class went all the way to the finals.

Dembare are expected to depart for the Mozambican capital this Thursday for the match on Saturday.
