Dynamos opened a three point lead at the top of the log standings while at the bottom of the log standings the battle for survival has reached boiling point.

The goalless draws in PSL matches played on Saturday pitting two title contenders, FC Platinum and Ngezi Platinum proved to be a blessing in disguise for Dynamos who grabbed the advantage by beating a stubborn Harare City 2-1 at the National Sports Stadium yesterday to open a 3 point gap at the apex of the log table on 56 points.

The wheels also came off for Chicken Inn as a 4-nil drubbing by Highlanders dampened their title challenge to the advantage of Dynamos.

For Highlanders whose last 7 fixtures had witnessed three draws and four losses, head coach Erol Akbay was optimistic the victory marks the turning point for iBosso.

While the championship race is still wide open and likely to go for the wire the battle for survival heightened.

Shabanie Mine and Hwange did their worlds a huge favour by winning their matches despite still hovering in the murky waters of relegation.

Fate appears to have already been sealed for Bantu Rovers who anchor the 18 team standings on 13 points from 27 matches.

In the other matches, Triangle were held 2-2 by Yadah Stars at Gibbo while Hwange finally got it right this time beating Bulawayo City 1-0 at the Colliery.

Chapungu worsened ZPC Kariba’s woes with a 1-0 victory at Ascot.
