dembare fans.jpgDynamos fans have hailed the new-look side assembled by coach Lloyd Mutasa,  following the win over bitter rivals Caps United in a 21st February derby, the Bob Super Cup, at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.

The Glamour Boys’ impressive display against eternal rivals Caps United, silenced some doubting Thomases who had reservations about the players’ ability to live up to the Harare Giants reputation, after the departure of several key players in the off-season break.

There was to be no sterner test of character than a showdown with Caps United, a team that has proven to be a tough nut to crack over the years. DeMbare however put up an imperious display that rekindled the fans’ hope of good things to come.

Dynamos asserted their dominance on the match with relative ease with Rodrick Mutuma wreaking havoc in attack, while Archiford Gutu, Devon Chafa, Denver Mukamba and Tawanda Muparati among others were a marvel to watch.

Fans believe the performance by the new look team revealed the makings of a great club capable of reproducing the glory days of the past.

Even the beauty queen, Miss 21st February Movement, Natalie Kadzviti , was also charmed by DeMbare’s performance.

Dynamos were hit by a player exodus during the off-season break including among others Benjamin Marere, Washington Arubi, Thabani Kamusoko, Dylan Chivandire, Murape Murape, Brighton Tuwaya, Phillip Sithole and Evans Gwekwerere.

Some football observers including the clubs fans themselves saw this departure as an ominous sign of the imminent demise of the Harare Giants, but if Sunday’s performance in the Bob Super Cup is anything to go by, a new era of an entertaining brand of football by the Glamour Boys, orchestrated by coach Lloyd Mutasa is indeed beckoning.
