The Harare City Council says there will be a complete water shutdown from tonight until Sunday evening due to maintenance work being carried out at the Morton Jaffray Water Treatment Plant.

The city’s corporate communications manager Mr Michael Chideme told the ZBC News that the shutdown has been necessitated by machines which require regular service for effective use.

Mr Chideme, however, urged the residents to use available water sparingly adding that the ban on the use of hosepipes remains in effect.
