The First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe has praised the Youth League for organising the Presidential Youth Interface rallies saying they serve to unite members in all hierarchies of the party and prepare for the coming 2018 election.

Addressing thousands who attended the Presidential Interface Youth rally in Sakubva Dr Mugabe said the unity of purpose displayed by the party at the rallies if maintained will guarantee resounding victory for the ruling party in 2018.

The First Lady also implored the Youth League to maintain peace to ensure Zimbabwe prospers.

She urged members of the Youth League to refuse to be used by some unruly senior members of the party who want to fan divisions saying they should remain the vanguard of the party and preserve the legacy left by those who founded the organisation.

Dr Mugabe said the youths should use their energy for constructive purposes and build the nation.

Thousands trooped into Sakubva Stadium for the rally and the packed venue suddenly burst into activity with the crowd singing along and shaking their bodies to the beat ‘Jongwe Rinorira Rimwe Chete’ when the man of the moment Cde Robert Mugabe and the First Lady arrived at the venue.

They drove round the stadium and waved to the gathering greeting the excited crowd in at the President’s second Youth Interface rally.

A high powered delegation from Manica Province of Mozambique led by Governor Alberto Modlane also spiced the gathering with a special greeting in which they sang liberation war song ‘Mhoroi Mose Mose’.
