jerusalem eastside story.jpgA new documentary film exposing Israel’s policy to gain supremacy and hegemony over Jerusalem and its inhabitants, is showing at Alliance Francaise as part of the annual Zimbabwe Film Festival.

Produced by Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees and Palestinian for Peace and Democracy, the documentary “Jerusalem: the East side Story”, highlights Palestine’s plight as Israel pursues Zionising the city as part of its policy to drive Palestinian Muslims and Christians out of the city denying their presence, history and ties to the land of their ancestors.

Speaking about the film, Palestinian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr. Hashem Dajani said the documentary shows that the Palestinian people’s cause is just and exposes Israel’s expansionism policy to the world as Jews constitute 33% of the population yet to occupy 94% of the land.

“This is our cry to the world, the film shows the pain…..and we want them to know the truth,” said Mr. Dajan.

Since 1948 when the Jewish state of Israel was created, Palestinians have known no peace since Jerusalem is viewed as the key to peace.

The documentary was written by Mohammed Alatar and produced by Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees and Palestinian for Peace and Democracy.
