Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe (IPMZ) President, Mr. Victor Nkomo, said companies need to consult in order to find solutions to challenges bedeviling them.

“Dialogue is key, employers should consult their workers and should also adapt to changes in government policy and labor laws,” Nkomo said.
Several companies are struggling to balance employee demands and shareholders’ interests spurred on by changes in the economic climate such as the transition to multi-currency system, human resources personnel have been urged to engage in dialogue with experts and other players in the field.

IPMZ is scheduled to host a convention and exhibition towards the end of the month in the resort town of Victoria Falls, aimed at enhancing the role of human resources management in the current economic transformation.

Vice President Joice Mujuru is expected to officially open the convention before several speakers, including the president of the Africa Federation of Human Resources Management, the Employers’ Confederation of Zimbabwe and regional human resources managers, address the forum.
