The newly appointed City of Harare Alderman, Samuel Chinyowa has urged councillors to desist from corrupt tendencies and concentrate on ensuring service delivery is at the core of their mandate.

Speaking to ZBC News shortly after his appointment, the ward 14 Kambuzuma representative said serving residents also lies at the core of their mandate adding that once that is realised, meeting service delivery goals can be achieved.

City of Harare acting town clerk, Ms Josephine Ncube who was explaining the decision said Alderman Chinyowa’s serving for over ten years now means he has specialist knowledge on the running of council and will be called upon to advise as a result of experience gained during the time he served as a representative of the people.
