Dynamos’ championship hopes were severely dented at the weekend after a defeat to Ngezi Platinum but DeMbare head coach, Lloyd Mutasa is confident of an instant response.

One victory, one defeat and three draws have seen the Glamour Boys collect just 6 points from a possible 15 in their last 5 games.

DeMbare’s slump has stirred negativity and questions on the team’s pedigree.

While Dynamos’ title challenge appears to have gone off the rails, Mutasa said his charges should not be written off.

Events off the field have also been far from pleasing with Lincoln Zvasiya and Denver Mukamba facing disciplinary action for indiscipline.

Mutasa was reluctant to comment on the impact of the duo’s absence but cited the need to abide by club rules.

Ngezi Platinum are top of the standings with 60 points, while FC Platinum second on the same number of points but with an inferior goal difference.

Dynamos are two points off the pace, but all that could change in a single weekend of favourable fortunes.

As PSL action heads into a decisive phase, consistency will be key for teams involved in what is turning out to be an enthralling battle for the 2017 PSL crown.
