The Premier Soccer League (PSL) resumes this weekend with Dynamos assistant coach Biggie Zuze declaring the Glamour Boys’ readiness to return to action.
The past two weeks were all about the Warriors who crashed out of the Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON) following a 4-0 defeat at the hands of DRC.
With Zimbabwe having been eliminated, the PSL resumes this weekend with intriguing matches on the cards.
The last time out Dynamos succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium and the DeMbare technical team say they have been working flat out to ensure they rectify their shortcomings.
“Some teams were not happy with the two week break but for us as Dynamos we were happy because the break gave us a chance to work on key areas that have been giving us problems. We are confident we will perform well because we have been working hard at training,” said Zuze.
Chapungu have been among the PSL surprise packages this season, at one stage assuming pole position.
Zuze said DeMbare are aware of the threat that Chapungu poses.
“Chapungu have proven that they are not an easy team to play. They have been playing several away games because their ground is not yet ready yet they have been doing well in their league. They will be a hard team to face but as the technical team we are bullish of our chances on Sunday,” he said.
With DeMbare sitting on 12th position with 15 points, head coach Tonderayi Ndiraya will be hoping his charges pick up maximum points against Chapungu as they look to push themselves up into the top 8.
Chapungu who have picked up just 3 points from a possible 15 in their last 5 encounters will be hoping to end a barren spell which has seen them winning none of their last 5 matches.
