caf logooooo.jpgFootball followers have expressed disappointment following Dynamos’ and CAPS United’s defeats in their CAF continental matches yesterday.

Dynamos’ performance against the Congolese giants can best be summed up in one word– disappointing. The Glamour Boys looked jaded and out of sorts in a match which some have described as an act of national betrayal.

Football followers had expected DeMbare to summon all their champions league experience in an endeavour to match the champions league holders man for man, but it was not to be as they failed to live up to their billing.

Consequently, the DeMbare faithfuls were not impressed with their teams’ lifeless and uninspiring display.

While Dynamos were singing the blues on home soil, Caps United were feeling the heat in a 5-0  trouncing at the hands of Al Hilal in Sudan in a CAF Confederations Cup.

Former Dynamos striker Edward Sadomba was the tormentor in chief with a hat-trick that helped seal Caps United’s fate.

While Dynamos fans were unrelenting following their teams defeat to TP Mazembe, the Caps United faithfuls were more forgiving after Makepekepe’s loss to Al Hilal.

Dynamos and Caps United’s defeats in the CAF Champions league and Confederations Cup have put them in difficult positions in their quest to advance to the next stage of the continental competitions.

Dynamos hope to win their next match against Esperance on the 31st of this month to keep alive hopes of progressing beyond the group stage, while the Green Machine has to overcome a 5 goal deficit against Al Hilal in the return leg in 2 weeks time to make it to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.
