Zanu PF Bulawayo provincial youth league has urged the incoming cabinet ministers to work and deliver on promises made to the electorate so as to achieve President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision of achieving a middle income economy by 2030.
Provincial youth league chairperson Cde Khumbulani Mpofu said the youths are urging the incoming cabinet ministers to walk the talk on economic transformation.
“We are expecting that whoever is appointed as cabinet minister will work and deliver well. We are expecting cabinet ministers to address youth issues. Whoever is appointed as a cabinet minister, when we knock their doors with youth programmes, they should embrace us and deliver,” he said.
He said there is need for decentralisation of the youth empowerment bank so as to enable all youths in the country to benefit from the programme in line with the second republic’s thrust on devolution of power.
Cde Mpofu added that young people are versatile and ready to work in different sectors of the economy such as agriculture, mining and technology.
