Delegates to the Africa Youth in Tourism Conference started to arrive in Bulawayo this Tuesday evening with more expected today ahead of this year’s international exhibition which officially starts on Thursday.

Preparations for the conference are already at an advanced stage with delegates from friendly countries beginning to troop into Bulawayo.

Zimbabwe Youth in Tourism Chairman, Mr Stewart Mutizwa, who welcomed some of the delegates to the conference, said the response from the emissaries is overwhelming with a number of Southern African countries having arrived for the international expo.

One of the delegates, Malawi’s Tourism Officer, Mr George Chimayi Chirambo urged young people to be part of this year’s international exhibition and tap in the opportunities that might arise in the industry.

When the ZBC News crew visited the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds, the venue for the conference, stakeholders were putting final touches to the venue as well as exhibition cubicles with accreditation having started this morning before a welcome cocktail in the evening.
