psl review.jpgBlack Rhinos won the army derby to aid their cause at the top of the log standings as the battle for promotion into the premiership begins to take shape in the ZIFA Northern Region Division One League.

Black Rhinos proved the better of the two army outfits beating their sister club, Commando, by a goal to nil, a result that allowed them to maintain 3rd position  after both La liga and Mwana Africa also went for weekend victories.

La liga proved too powerful for prison outfit Flame Lilly, trouncing them 3-nil in their own home yard to maintain a stranglehold on the apex of the log standings.

While La liga were extending their lead, Mwana Africa were keeping the pressure valves on by ensuring they beat Highfield United 2-1 in a match played at Trojan mine.

The woes however continued for winless Cosy Rules who got another bashing as DC Academy whipped them into a 3-nil defeat.

Karoi United could not discover the winning gear despite an abundant home support faltering to a one-nil defeat to visiting Eiffel flats.

They were two draws in other matches with DSTV playing a goalless affair with Harare City, while Barca and ZPC Kariba settled for a one all stalemate.
