The Meteorological Services Department says Tropical Cyclone Enawo might not reach Zimbabwe as it is still east of Madagascar giving relief to Zimbabweans mainly in the southern parts of the country who have suffered the devastating effects of floods.

The MET department last week warned that another cyclone is coming from the east of Madagascar and is likely to affect Zimbabwe mid this month.

However, senior meteorologist Mr Tich Zinyemba says there is a high probability that Cyclone Enawo will not hit Zimbabwe.

The MET department has also projected that the rains being received throughout the country will continue.

The prediction that Cyclone Enawo will not affect Zimbabwe comes as good news following the floods induced by Cyclone Dineo which was downgraded to a tropical thunderstorm hit Zimbabwe causing flooding in the southern parts of the country.
