Participants at the ZimDigital filmmaking training workshop have hailed the programme as an important initiative which has made them realise their dreams in the industry.
As part of empowering aspiring and established content creators for the digital platforms, the ZimDigital project conducted a training workshop in Marondera attended by 30 participants.
Representatives of the participants, Yvone Kagande and Charles Mzemba hailed the programme as a good platform to realise their dreams in the industry.
“I am happy that I have managed to be trained in script writing and learnt a lot of things I used to take for granted, it is a very good initiative,” Kagande said.
“I have been in the film industry for more than 10 years now and I thought I had seen it all but this programme has opened me up,” Mzemba said.
ZimDigital Training Coordinator, Nocks Chatiza said the programme is meant to empower content creators in the film industry to supply the new digital platforms.
“This programme is meant to empower local content creators for them to generate enough content for the digital platforms,” he said.
The participants were trained in script writing, producing, directing, cinematography and editing and were presented with certificates after the training programme.
