The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has expressed concern over zero percent pass rates at schools with highly qualified teachers.

Speaking at the Wedza district merit awards held at Chemhanza High School, Mashonaland East Provincial Education Director, Mr Christopher Chihota questioned how schools are recoding zero percent pass rates while they have highly qualified teachers.

Wedza North legislator and newly appointed Mashonaland East Minister of State for Provincial Affairs, Cde David Musabayana and Zanu PF Secretary for Education, Engineer Richard Parehwa told the students to concentrate on their studies for a bright future.

Schools, teachers and pupils who excelled were rewarded for their outstanding performances ranging from best academic results at all levels, best infrastructural development and outstanding performance in sporting activities among others.
