Motorists have raised concern over unruly behaviour from truck drivers who are said to be bullish and not observing general road safety standards.

A truck driver almost received mob justice from other fuming motorists on yesterday evening when an unfastened canopy was blown off from the trailor and fell on the front windscreen of another vehicle in the carriageway in Bulawayo.

In an interview with ZBC News, the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe Managing Director Mr Obio Chinyere urged motorists to abide by the law and ensure safety by firmly securing canopies and their cargo before embarking on journeys.

He also added that there is no place for bully drivers on public roads as the highway-code stipulates that roads should be utilised in a friendly manner.
