Aviation Grounds Services (AGS) Finance Director, Ketias Zingunzi has appeared in court facing charges of defrauding his company of more than US$15 000.
The State alleges that in March this year, Zingunzi on 73 occasions misrepresented to the Chief Accountant and demanded petty cash without the authority of his superiors.
It is further alleged that Zingunzi misrepresented that he wanted the cash for entertainment, medical expenses and fuel yet he was getting the same benefits.
The Chief Accountant, Mr. Calvin Bembera, who was the State’s first witness, said the accused misrepresented to him that all the transactions were above board.
He said he issued him the cash without questioning since he was his boss.
