With the country now focussing on growth economics after consolidating stability, government says the ‘business as usual’ attitude embraced by many companies has to stop as efforts should now be made towards ensuring customer satisfaction through the provision of quality goods and services.

In his speech during the launch of the Zimbabwe Customer Care Week, Deputy Prime Minister, Professor Arthur Mutambara noted that customer satisfaction and success are critical in driving the national economy.

Turning to the development of African economies, Professor Mutambara said according to recent research, the economies are projected to grow to a collective gross domestic product of US$3,6 trillion with the corporates that are customer-oriented taking the lead.

Customer Care Week is celebrated internationally and is devoted to recognising the importance of customer service.

It also intended to honour the people who serve and support customers with the highest degree of care and professionalism.

The local event includes exhibitions by local companies, banks and other corporates.
