Warren Park residents have welcomed the use of swiping machines by commuter omnibus operators in their area saying this will ease cash shortages.
Gone are the days when swiping machines were the preserve for only big companies and the adoption of swiping machines by individuals and small enterprises has gone a long way in dealing with cash shortages.
Although commuter omnibuses had adopted the use of mobile money they had not embraced digital payment platforms like swiping machines.
It’s a move that has brought tears of joy to many Warren Park residents as they can now just swipe upon boarding a commuter omnibus
As for the commuter omnibus operators the move is a plus for them as well.
The public transport sector is one of the few sectors which has been resistant to embrace the use of mobile money and digital payments platforms but the latest development speaks of a people united to make it work collectively for the betterment of Zimbabwe.
