46 farmers have benefited from the Command Livestock Scheme in the Beitbridge East area with more targeted as the programme is expanded to ensure food security.

This came out during the installation of Mr Azviambiri Mdou as headmen Tshikwelengwe in the Chief Matibe area.

Beitbridge District Administrator Mrs Kelibone Ndou told the people at the gathering that ambitious programmes in the area have been carried out to improve health, education, water and sanitation.

The DA also said government intends to conclude the issue of several traditional leaders who are yet to be installed as substantive.

There are 18 substantive village heads under headman Tshikwelengwe.
