Over 8000 families will benefit from a clinic project under construction in the Chirere area of Runde Rural District Council.

The clinic project was conceived in April 2016 out of a 5-year strategic plan.

According to the rural district council, the clinic is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Villagers welcomed the development, saying the clinic will be a huge relief to them as they are currently travelling for about 12km to access the nearest health facility in wards 13 and 14.

Ward 14 Councillor, Evelyn Mupama said it has taken consensus in the community to see the Chirere clinic project materialise.

With a firm belief that a healthy community is a prosperous one, the multi-stakeholder project has ignited hope that life will be different for many in this community.
