The Harare City Council says it is sourcing funds to complete the construction of projects that were abandoned a number of years ago due to lack of funds.
The projects to be completed include the extension of wards at Wilkins Hospital, Budiriro and Kuwadzana polyclinics.
Speaking to ZBC News after a tour of Beatrice Infectious
Diseases and Wilkins hospitals in Harare, Mayor Muchadei Masunda said the twinning arrangement between the City of Harare and Munich has also yielded results.
City Health Services Director, Dr Stanley Mungofa, said council clinics are facing human resource constraints and currently operating at 50 percent with only 18 doctors.
The Mayor and Mayoress, Mrs Fikile Masunda presented Christmas gifts to patients at the two hospitals.
