The First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa says churches are an integral part in encouraging respect for human life.

She said this when she visited Mt Selinda Hospital and Daisy Dube Children’s Home in Chipinge today.

Mt Selinda Hospital caters for the surrounding Chipinge community and Zimbabwe’s neighbouring country Mozambique.

In her remarks, the First Lady commended the Christian Church of Christ for the care they are giving to patients spiritually and physically.

Minister of State for Manicaland Province Cde Monica Mutsvangwa and the Chipinge community applauded the First Lady for visiting the area as well as assisting the needy.

The gathering provided yet another opportunity for the First Lady to preach about the need for cervical and breast cancer screening.

Mt Selinda Hospital is currently being served by one nurse – the only one trained on the cervical and breast screening.

The First Lady also donated food stuffs to the hospital and children’s home.
