Church leaders in Bulawayo say moral decadence is increasing at an alarming rate as witnessed by the gruesome murder incidents recorded in the past weeks.

At least four people were gruesomely killed in Bulawayo between Tuesday and Friday last week.

Two of them were women who were raped before they were killed.

United Congregational Church of Southern Africa Minister, Reverend Sikhalo Cele said sometimes the killings are caused by small misunderstandings which can be avoided if negotiation is given room.

Father Mandlenkosi Ndlovu from the Roman Catholic Church said people have lost their sense of respect for others and as such, this worrisome behaviour should be dealt with from the grass root level.

People nolonger have respect and life and the public is being urged to resolve their differences amicably as many conflicts result in fights that can lead to deaths.
