Johane Masowe Wemugovera church members

The Johane Masowe Wemugovera church has commended the government for the command agriculture programme which they say is the answer to food security.

Mudzidzi Christopher Chimombe of the Johane Masowe Wemugovera church, popularly known as Gandanzara, told the church’s annual gathering at Chipendo village in Chihota that while churches played their part in praying for the rains, the government played its part in coming up with the command agriculture programme which guarantees food security.

The Minister of Defence Dr Sydney Sekeramayi who hails from the area and was part of the gathering, said food insecurity removes a nation and its people’s dignity and pride and this is the reason why the government came up with the command agriculture programme.

The church has also embarked on a programme to construct a church at its headquarters in the area and received donations from Dr Sekeramayi and other members of the Zanu PF provincial leadership towards the project.
